Joe Moss was head coach of Ottawa Rough Riders in 1985-86 and the head coach of the University of Ottawa Gee Gees in 1982. Joe played college football for the University of Maryland and was drafted in the fourteenth round of the 1952 NFL Draft by the Los Angeles Rams and was traded to the Washington Redskins. After one season, he joined the United States Air Force. In 1956 he began his coaching career at Maryland, then the Air Force Academy, Philadelphia Eagles, Toronto Argonauts, Saskatchewan Roughriders, University of Ottawa, Ottawa Rough Riders, Hamilton Tiger Cats, and in the Arena Football League.
He is survived by his daughter Nancee Kemper and his son Joe. He has 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
