Marc Pilon joins CFLOAA Board

Welcome the newest member of the CFL Ottawa Alumni Association’s executive, Marc Pilon. Marc, a longtime member of the association, has agreed to join our Board.

Marc and Jeff Pilon were one of the few brother acts in the CFL. They were known as ‘Smash’ and ‘Crash’ when they starred at St. Pius X High School in Ottawa. The brothers attended Syracuse University together and had long careers in the CFL. Marc was drafted by the Stampeders in 1998 and joined them a year later after playing out his college eligibility. Jeff was drafted a year later by Calgary and played for them from 2000 to 2009. Marc was a member of Calgary’s 2001 Grey Cup championship team. The following year he played for Edmonton, then BC in 2003-2004, the Ottawa Renegades in 2005, and both Hamilton and Toronto in 2006.

After his CFL career, Marc came home to Ottawa where he lives with his wife, Anne, and their three daughters. After many years in the medical sales field, Marc decided to put his experience renovating and flipping houses to good use. Since 2019 he has been the proud owner of Randall’s Home Decor Centre.

With Marc’s addition to CFL Ottawa Alumni executive, we now have two former Renegades (Steve Glenn is the other) on our Board. We also have former players who played in all 9 CFL cities.
